Schools

Welcome to RE:generate, the schools department for Wigan Methodist Circuit.

We aim to support schools in the communication of the Christian faith, providing a creative and engaging approach in our work with both staff and pupils.

For Schools:
We are focusing on developing our work in primary schools at present, and aim to expand this to cover more schools and education from 3-16.
Currently we offer a range of support in the following ways:
* Assemblies
* Lessons
* Church Tours
* Y6 Transition Project
* Super Storytime Sessions for the foundation stage
* Easter Storyteller Trail
* Christmas Specials
* Training for teachers
* Support with policy and curriculum development and writing

Aspull and Blackrod Church Schools
We have 2 schools which are very special to us as they are our Church schools. They are Anglican/Methodist Church schools, and we support them in prayer and in practical ways with ongoing collective worship, lessons, special events and curriculum support, plus a minister serves at each school as a governor.

Volunteers
If you are interested in working alongside us in schools, then please contact us. There are a variety of ways you can be involved- from praying to making cups of tea, resource making to putting letters in envelopes, plus of course going into schools by working as part of a team.
All of our volunteers will be trained and require DBS/CRB checks if they are working with school children.

If you would like further information please contact Tracey Fitzsimmons at familynetwork@outlook.com or text/phone 07938235769.

Verse of the Day

“[Book I Psalms 1 – 41 Psalm 1] Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.”

Psalm 1:1-2
