In our group of churches we seek to follow Jesus. We are among the millions of His disciples in the world, and like them, we strive to live out the Christian life. We seek to fulfil the call of Jesus to love God, and love our neighbours, by serving our local communities. We invite you to join us on this journey of spiritual growth and community engagement.
Welcome to Wigan, and welcome to the Wigan Methodist Circuit.
The town and local area of Wigan in the North West of England has a long history of Methodism and it's mission. Currently represented by our eleven Methodist Churches, and the presence of a number of Independent Methodist Churches in the town. Our twelve churches cover north, south, east and west across the town and beyond to its outer edges. Our churches offer a warm welcome to newcomers and long standing members alike. a world where all who are weak are protected and none go hungry;
a world where your riches of creation are shared for everyone to enjoy them;
a world where mutual respect is expressed between different races and cultures and harmony descends;
a world where peace is built with justice, and justice is guided by love.
Give us the inspiration and courage to build it how you see it Lord!
